POSITION TITLE:  Student Recruitment Specialist, part-time, .5 FTE

POSITION SUMMARY:

o The purpose of the Student Recruitment Specialist Position is to provide support to the national recruitment team’s efforts in communicating regularly with prospective students.
o The primary responsibility of a Student Recruitment Specialist (SRS) is to communicate with prospective students via phone and email in order to provide a high level of student service throughout the recruitment process.  The SRS will receive student leads from Regional Directors, Site Coordinators, marketing initiatives and referrals.  They will initiate contact with these leads to answer all questions regarding their interest in Lesley University and enrollment in Lesley University’s national cohort programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  (Unique to this particular position)

o Make phone calls and send both mass and individual emails to prospective students on a daily basis.  Provide communication to prospects in a designated set of regions/states.  Regularly enter relevant prospect information into the Lead Management System whenever necessary.
o Send mass emails to prospective students several times throughout the year, then document and follow up on all responses.
o Must be able to work under direct supervision, provide weekly reports, attend meetings several times each week and work on projects independently as needed.
o No supervisory responsibilities required.
o Responsible for daily communication with prospects, daily communication with Regional Director and Assistant Director of Recruitment, and weekly reporting to the National Director of Recruitment.
o Enter relevant prospect communication information and updates into the Lead Management System multiple times each day.
o Must respond to and quickly complete special outreach projects to prospects and applicants whenever they are needed.
o Work with confidential student records information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

(The required knowledge used to handle information, analyze issues, solve problems and exercise creativity, and the depth and breadth of knowledge required; the typical levels of education and experience required to perform the duties of the position; specific skills for this position)

o Associates degree or equivalent experience required.
o Experience in higher education recruitment preferred but not required.
o Experience in customer service or sales is preferred but not required.
o Entry level position.
o Knowledge of basic computer skills is necessary.
o Excellent communication, organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills required.
