Motor Vehicle Record Policy(effective 7/01/07)In order to operate a Lesley-owned vehicle, it is required that all driver Motor Vehicle Record's (MVR's) be requested and reviewed on an annual basis by the University. This policy applies to all Lesley University employees, students and any other persons to whom the University grants the privilege of operating a University owned vehicle. All drivers of 15 passenger vans must take an online tutorial and test. Arrangements for completing the tutorial are handled through the Physical Plant Department. After satisfactorily completing the online tutorial a van familiarization briefing and satisfactory road test are required. The van familiarization and road test are administered by the Director of Facilities & Operations or his/her designee. Lesley University expects each driver to drive in a safe and courteous manner. It is the driver's responsibility to drive defensively to prevent injuries and property damage. Cell phone use (talking and text messaging) is prohibited. Drivers must insure that seat belts are used at all times. Drivers are responsible for complying with all applicable state motor vehicle regulations relating to driver responsibility. Lesley University reserves the right to deny or revoke this privilege of any driver in the event that the driver does not have an acceptable MVR. Risk Management/Finance Office are responsible for general administration of this policy. updated 02/17/10 | 11:25 AM
