Bruce is a diverse outdoor educator, naturalist and scientist. He was an instructor at Massachusetts' Greenfield Community College Outdoor Leadership Program for ten years. During that time he completed research on the long-term effects of habitat fragmentation on genetic diversity in plants.

Bruce displays a passion for wilderness and science, and helps his students appreciate the role of both.
