Ecological Teaching and Learning

Application Requirements

The following documents are required as part of the application process:

Additional program requirements:

  • Applicants must be employed in an educational setting. Coursework is focused on applications of the concepts studied in the student's own educational setting.
  • Applicants must have Internet access and be able to send and read Word compatible documents.
  • Applicants must attend the three-week field programs in July for two consecutive summers.
  • Applicants are expected to design, integrate, and implement ecological concepts into their teaching. Successful applicants will be creative, self-motivated and reflective practitioners.
  • Applicants must be prepared to complete weekly reading and writing exercises.

Application Deadlines:

  • May 1st. There is rolling admissions for the program and applications will be reviewed as soon as they are complete. Applications may also be reviewed after this date on a space-available basis.

Scholarships:

The Graduate School of Arts and Social Sciences and the Ecological Teaching and Learning Program encourages applicants to apply for the Environmental Studies Merit Scholarship. The scholarship application deadline is March 1, 2012.
