LITERACY COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH AND PROGRAM EVALUATION

The systematic collection and analysis of student assessment data are essential to successful whole school change. When data are methodically and consistently collected and analyzed, the results reveal indicators of effective implementation and point to areas that need further development. More importantly, systematized data collection and analysis generate performance information about students and teachers to help identify trends in program effectiveness.

Literacy Collaborative's program evaluation model consists of a multi-level design that aims to provide appropriate and useful data to program implementers and evaluators at both the national and the school/district level.
