Certificates of Attendance and Professional Development Points (PDPs)
Requirements for Earning Professional Development Points for Massachusetts Educators:
- A minimum of 10 hours devoted to a professional development activity
- The activity is related to the school or district's Professional Development Plan
- The activity increases the educator's content knowledge in the area of the certificate
- The activity results in an observable product or assessment
- Once these conditions have been met, the educator may apply for professional development points within his/her school.
Certificates of Attendance
- Institute and conference attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
- The certificate may be used toward teacher re-certification in states that accept a Certificate of Attendance as Professional Development Points.
- 1 clock hour of institute attendance = 1 professional development point.
- Copy the descriptions of the sessions you attended, and save them with your Certificate of Attendance.
- We can not replace lost Certificates of Attendance.
- Massachusetts Educators: Certificates of Attendance may be combined with your professional activity directed toward the same goal and converted to PDPs.
- New Jersey Educators: Lesley University's registration number is 2509.
