Lesley University Writers' Conference

JULY GUEST AUTHOR READINGS

Free and open to the public
Location: Alumni Hall (in Quad area near end of Mellen Street, off Mass Ave)
Time: 7:00pm
The guest authors' books will be available for purchase and signing.

  • Sunday, July 26 - M.T. Anderson
    M.T. Anderson is the author of many picture books for children, and novels for young adults, inlcuding Octavian Nothing, winner of the 2006 National Book Award for Young People.
  • Monday, July 27 - Julia Glass
    Julia Glass is the author of Three Junes, winner of the 2002 National Book Award for Fiction.
  • Tuesday, July 28 - Gail Mazur
    Gail Mazur has authored five poetry books, including Zeppo, winner of the 2005 Massachusetts Book Award, and a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize.

Come to Cambridge, Massachusetts, where writers such as Robert Frost, Louise Glück, Henry James, Sue Miller, Derek Walcott, Robert Pinsky, and countless others have found the inspiration and conversation critical to successful writing. Lesley’s conference supports writers in a collaborative environment that will provide rich stimulation for anyone interested in fiction, nonfiction, children’s book writing, and poetry.

The Writers' Conference is sponsored by Lesley's MFA in Creative Writing program and the Lesley Seminars.
